PRODUCTION
To enable for a good composition and production this studio is equipped
with a lot of powerful tools to support artist's work.
For a strong production the current FS-Studios provide first class A-D converters paired to a Hi-Fi Setup that supports up to 192KHz 24bit Midi-Recording with real-time playback.
It also provides a bunch of analogue-grade gear, made possible with plugins of worldwide's best emulation software from Universal Audio.
For this big plugin selection of real-time analogue emulation
the highest model of the Apollo Twin X Sound Interface with a total of four processors is available.
One of Audeze's High Class Headphones intended for the mixing, recording or production engineer supports better decisions better when it comes to placement and sound design and with it's open-back construction eliminates doubts at the bass end of the frequency spectrum.
Two keyboards, eight drum pads and eight mixing knobs enable for physical input,
while Xfer Serum, Sylenth 1, reFX Nexus, and further synthesizers provide an endless variety of possibilities along with Waves Plugins and more for modelling real instruments.
MIXING
A good mix relies on knowledge, good room acoustics and a decent speaker setup.
Studio A holds several professionally-built panels from GIK and AddictiveSound that are mathematically calculated & measured for a smooth time response.
The monitoring speakers have been measured, tested and moved for over a year to find the best positioning possible. They are now 1.7m apart enabling for an extremely wide sound stage and a flat frequency response that is even improved again by Sonarworks Reference 4.
To satisfy all needs in a big project there are two silent computers
that are at the top end of current technology. With RAM of 32GB and up to 6 Cores @ 4.7GHz hundred instances of tracks and plugins can be processed and projects up to 192KHz
can be mixed at '512-point sinc' resolution without an issue.
The 4K monitor provides with an ratio of 30:9 enough space
for lots of plugins & faders on the mixing rack.
DAW of choice is Fruity Loops Studio, with Avid ProTools being a second option.
A big collection of industry-standard plugins like Waves and FabFilter is included.
To make long sessions less painful an official E-Sports BackForce One Seat has got your back.
Sound is being played in the full audible spectrum on the Yamaha HS7 with a Temblor T10 Subwoofer adding further power to the bass. The B speakers are a Yamaha Yas 207 Soundbar.
The Main Speaker setup is fully isolated* and wired reliably via thick condensed-carbon cables with gold connectors. They are the same cable type that is used for recording, too.

RECORDING
FSS is aiming for ways to record sound in the best quality possible.
For tracking the recording there are up to 6 different quality headphone models available, ranging from the widely preferred ATH-MX50s and Beyerdynamics' DT770
to even wireless-earbuds like the Buds Pro from Samsung.
The Studio A is equipped with 15m of LED stripes
where each single diode can be controlled individually.
As such, it gives an artist space to support his ideas and feelings for the performance
by modelling the environment to his liking.
Recording Quality, being an overly important aspect in this topic is ensured via the first-class AD converters that are connected to a special HI-Z recording slot for guitars, as well as microphones via XLR and Line channels for different input.
With up to two slots being concurrently active in 192KHz.
The industry-leading emulated analogue gear of UADs Pre-Amps is also available for recording.
Capturing direct sound is possible via Condenser Mics like the Rode NT1 being a quite linear microphone with the lowest self-noise on the market, or the Slate Digital Ml2 with it's awesome clarity and it's capability of sounding like multiple popular thousand-dollar microphones via it's emulation.
For noisy atmospheres the ML2 can be polarized to a dynamic microphone
while the UAD Plugin CVox reliably eliminates any further background noise.
Furthermore there is an AT-2020 and a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra*
to provide recording without big ambitions.
*the S21 can record in stereo via two small condenser mics,
doing that in a quite pleasant manner making it a good tool for concept creation.
ENTERTAINMENT
When there's no work the setup can be used for a lot of alternatives.
Offering multiple seats, a big HDR screen and exceptional audio the Studio A can be switched to a great Home Cinema in no time.
The LEDs can visually create dozens of relaxing atmospheres, too. To get a small break from whatever you are doing, a machine for a shiatsu foot massage is available.
At special dates Studio A can be used as a place for moderate VIP Partys
at (theoretical) Festival Loudness.
